IMPORTANT CHANGES

Dress Rehearsal Saturday June 1 at South Hills Middle School (13508 South 4000 West, Riverton Utah-South of Bangeter Highway)

8 am-10 am move into theater-help needed moving costumes and set pieces anyone with a truck or van who is available would be appreciated meeting at the studio at 7 am to load.

Swan Lake check in @9:30 am rehearsal 10am-12 pm

Little Mermaid check in @12 pm rehearsal 12:30-2:30 pm, younger children may leave after their part

Contemporary check in @2:30 pm 3-5 pm

 

TUESDAY JUNE 4- CHANGE OF VENUE-REHEARSAL WILL BE HELD AT THE ACADEMY OF BALLET ARTS

5-7 pm Little Mermaid

7-8:30 pm Contemporary

8:30-10 pm Swan Lake

 

IMPORTANT CHANGE OF PERFORMANCE TIME

Because each of the shows are anticipated to be about an hour and a half we will be starting a 1/2 hour earlier for the EVENING SHOWS.  Start time for the evening performances will be 6:30 pm the matinee performance will start @ 2 pm.

Performance Wednesday June 5 at South Hills Middle School (13508 South 4000 West)

check in time 5 pm ( we will do a special staging run through of the 2nd act of Swan Lake at 5 pm, please don’t be late) if just in the 3rd act check in time is 5:30 pm

Swan Lake Performance estimate 6:30-8 pm

Contemporary check in 7 pm Contemporary show will be from 8-9:30 pm

Tickets will be honored for both performances so please come to both!

 

Performance Thursday June 6 at South Hills Middle School (13508 South 4000 West)

check in time 5 pm- class for all intermediate – advanced dancers 5:30-6:00 pm required of all pointe dancers

Little Mermaid Performance estimate 6:30-8 pm-younger dancers will be escorted into the auditorium after their performance on stage to watch the show with a parent please don’t go to get your dancer until after the 1st act.  Please bring them street clothes to wear in the auditorium.

Swan Lake performance estimate 8-9:30 pm

Tickets will be honored for both performances so please come to both!

HELP NEEDED TO STRIKE THE SET-After the performance on Saturday June 8 please help if you can students and parents.  Bring Vans and Trucks it won’t take long if we have help.

Volunteers

I need 2 parents for each Little Mermaid performance to be back stage to help with the pre-ballet classes, if you could volunteer to do at least one performance.  Letting the children sit in the auditorium will be a new thing I’m trying we will practice this on Saturday June 1 rehearsal if I could get some volunteers for this rehearsal.

We need help steaming costumes and making repairs small repairs to costumes.  You can help with this this week at the studio or at the dress rehearsal on Saturday June 1.

I need someone to sell tickets & someone to usher for each of the performances.  You would have to be there an hour before the performance and stay through the 2nd show.

I need a couple of parents backstage to help with set changes and quick changes per show.

I need someone to sell roses and someone to help with a bake sell.

I would like to ask everyone to volunteer to donate to our bake sell for each of the performances.  You can donate whatever you feel comfortable doing.

 

WE WILL HAVE A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER AT THE DRESS REHEARSAL ON SATURDAY JUNE 1 SO BRING YOUR CHECK BOOK AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS OPPORTUNITY OF HAVING YOUR CHILDREN’S PHOTOS TAKEN

AFFORDABLE PACKAGES!

Eddie will be video taping the shows.  The DVD’s are only $15 and is a great way to remember your child’s performances. We want to make it worth his time to come and record our show at such a great price so I would like to encourage everyone to get a DVD.

Tickets will be ready for pick up by Tuesday June 4 rehearsal at the Academy of Ballet Arts each dancer will receive 4 tickets!  Additional tickets will be available at a cost of $5 adults and $3 for children students, seniors.

Please let everyone know about our fantastic shows, I think everyone will be very impressed by all 3 of the performances.  We want to have a great audience for our dancers.

Again I want to remind everyone that classes will continue through the end of June and June tuition will be taken out.

I want to thank everyone for a great year and the opportunity for working all the children.  We have the best parents and students at the Academy of Ballet Arts.
